Restoration of a student hall of residence and its surroundings in Berlin.
-with all Baupiloten team-
The aim of this project was to search and investigate about student living in halls of residence needs and feelings and to restore the builing in Siegmunds Hof and its surroundings in a way that the new atmosphere and posibilities of the place matches with this feelings and needs.
I worked on the restoration of the corridors and rooms of the building changing the closed and dark character of the exisiting space to a more social and opened to nature place.
The work consists in dividing the room in two spaces, one more private where the relation with nature and the privacy are the most important, and the following space, treated as a changing space, that can be treated like an extension of the private closed to the social space ( the corridor) or that can be opened to the corridor creating an own but shared space, also can be used as a transition between the nature and the social space.

Baupiloten, first steps.
This project had a long analysis work, visiting hall of residences all over Berlin, interviewing lots of students, the three collages below are the result of this work and want to represent in an abstract scenario how should work and how should be the atmosphere of the three kind of spaces we find in a hall of a residence, the oudoor common space and the city, the indoor common space of the building and the private space of each student.

Urban planning project in Cornellà del Vallès.
The aim of this project is to plan the empty space generated by the intersection of the highways and the railway.
On one hand we want to connect the three cities around it, following the existing urban structures and working with the frontiers in order to cross them and to get a joint function space that integrates the three cities in a smooth and natural way.
On the other hand we make this space a mixed used space where the green and free space interconnects the new and the existing build space and roads filling this hole between the cities creating a new city that combines two seemingly contradictory living ideals: the pulsating urban experience and the serene and restorative rural atmosphere.
